EDF Energy's proposals for a new nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast

Capable of generating enough electricity to supply around five million homes

The two UK EPR reactors would generate electricity for up to 60 years

At the peak of construction the project would provide around 5,600 employment opportunities

Once operational, the new power station would support around 900 permanent jobs

Contributing to the UK's future needs for low carbon, secure and affordable energy

Skills for Energy event

The Sizewell C Project team will be exhibiting at the East of England Energy Group’s (EEEG) Skills for Energy Programme to be held at the International Aviation Academy at Norwich Airport.

The event will attract some 300 school and college students from across the region to find out more about a vast array of training and career opportunities in the fast-growing energy industry in the East of England.

The Sizewell C team will represent the nuclear sector, and will be joined by employers from the offshore wind and oil and gas sectors. The event will focus on career pathways across all the energy sectors.
