The Sizewell C Community Forum is an independent group of local representatives and stakeholders which plays an important consultative role in the Sizewell C project.
The Sizewell C Community Forum is intended to provide a mechanism for discussion during the planning and construction process between EDF Energy, representatives of the local community and other key stakeholders on the proposed development of a new nuclear power station at Sizewell. The Forum aims to encourage EDF Energy to arrive at proposals which minimise the impact on the local community from the project, as well as making the most of what the development could offer East Suffolk.
The next Sizewell C Community Forum will be held on 26 July 2018, 7-9pm at Riverside Centre, 6 Great Glemham Rd, Stratford St Andrew, Saxmundham IP17 1LL.
To consider and advise on issues that might affect the local community and key stakeholders as a result of EDF Energy’s planning proposals, principally those arising from the development of a new nuclear power station on land adjacent to the existing power stations and any other associated developments. Consideration of the principle of building new nuclear power stations is outside the scope of the Forum. An independent chairman oversees the business of the Forum.
